About Us
Welcome to Ruled By Dogs
Where the dog is always right.
I'm Jake, and I run Ruled By Dogs. Or at least, that's what it says on the paperwork. The truth is I'm middle management — the real boss is Dexter, a dog who has never once asked permission for anything in his life and somehow still gets away with it.
Dexie (he answers to that too, if treats are involved) has redefined "personal space," "my side of the bed," and "that's not for you" in ways I genuinely did not see coming. He's also, against all logic, the best thing that's ever happened to me. So when I started thinking about what this brand should be, the answer was obvious — it had to be about that. The chaos and the love, in equal measure, because for dog owners they're basically the same thing.
Ruled By Dogs makes graphic tees for people who get it. The ones who talk to their dog in a different voice than they talk to humans. The ones who've given up entire sections of the sofa without complaint. The ones who've apologised to their dog more times than to actual people — and meant it more, too.
Every design starts with the everyday moments that make dog ownership what it is — moments Dexter provides on a near-daily basis, often without warning. We blend genuine humour with genuine love, because the bond between a person and their dog deserves both. It's funny. It's also one of the best things in your life. Both can be true.
Our tees are made from premium, soft, durable fabric — because if it's good enough for Dexter to sleep on (and it will be, the moment it's out of the packet), it needs to actually hold up. Designed, printed, and packaged right here in the USA, in Florida and Texas, with the same care I'd want for my own dog. Because I do.
More than a clothing brand, Ruled By Dogs is for everyone who's been quietly — happily — overruled by the best creature in their life. If your dog has ever looked at you like you hung the moon, and you've ever looked back and thought "yeah, fair" — welcome. You're one of us.
Wear the bond. Embrace the chaos. Long live the real boss.
